Tenure Track or Tenured Faculty Position in Periodontology

The?School?of?Dentistry?is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track or tenured faculty position in Periodontology. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop a viable and productive research program, for which start-up funds will be available. The successful candidate?must demonstrate an interest and aptitude for clinical and didactic teaching in undergraduate and graduate Periodontology. Time allocation for private practice will be integrated into this appointment.

Candidates will have graduated from an accredited specialty program and have relevant postgraduate and clinical qualifications in the specialty of periodontology. Must be eligible to for?the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) Fellowship examination in Periodontology. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD degree.?Must be eligible for licensure with the Alberta Dental Association and College (ADA&C).?

Hiring preference will be given to candidates possessing an excellent record of publication in reputable, peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings. Consideration will be given to applicants who have demonstrated the impact of their research, who provide evidence of established teaching skills, and who have a demonstrated record of service at the departmental, institutional, national, and/or international levels. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise graduate students and involve them in their program of research.?
